The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks recognized selected Students of the Month on April 22.
Carman Mastroianni, Kiwanis President, along with School Counselor/Co-Key Club Advisor Dana Dornburgh and Special Education Teacher/Co-Key Club Advisor Tracy Deis introduced three honored students. Each student received a Student of the Month Certificate and $100 in recognition of their achievements. The students then presented a brief outline of their activities and future plans.
February - James Herron III, son of Lori and James Herron
James is a member of National Honor Society, president of Varsity Club, secretary of Student Council and Travel clubs. He played and captained varsity soccer during senior year. James plans to attend St. Bonaventure University to study Business and Computer Science.
March - Gabriel Lutz, son of Yvonne and Richard Lutz
Gabe is a member of Key Club among many other clubs. He participates on soccer, baseball, and alpine skiing teams. Gabe plans to attend college and study electrical engineering.
April - Chase Green, son of Kelly and Michael Green
Chase participated in varsity soccer, golf, and basketball. He is a National Honor Society Key Club Member. Chase plans to attend college to study environmental engineering.
Selection criteria for Kiwanis Student of the Month are community service, athletic involvement, student need, and extra curricular activities.
