Parents and their children undergoing cancer treatments received a happy diversion with the presence of Fordham Kiwanis family members at Ronald McDonald House on April 22.
Kiwanis and Circle K members purchased and served dinner and were accompanied by a magician to entertain the children. "It was just as therapeutic for us to see these ailing children smiling and to hear them laughing at the antics of our magician John Turdo", says Fordham Kiwanis President Grant Grastorf.
Also attending was Distinguished Past President of Fordham Kiwanis, Joy Freeman, and club secretary Jack Mahar who came with seven Circle K members to New York City in a Fordham University van to help serve and clean up after the children retired to their Ronald McDonald House rooms to await another day of chemotherapy.
