On May 23 Town of Hempstead Supervisor Anthony Santino held the Town of Hempstead Make a Difference Award ceremony.
This year two Kiwanis club presidents were nominated and chosen by the Town of Hempstead to receive this honor. Town of Hempstead bestowed the 2017 Make a Difference Award to Peninsula (The), Hewlett Club President Dominick Curra and Levittown President Steven Dalton.
