On May 20 members of the East Farmingdale Kiwanis Club installed 50 American Flags and one flag for each of the branches of service. (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines & Coast Guard) in front of Farmingdale High School and another complete set at Howitt Middle School in Farmingdale to help raise money for local veteran organizations.
The club is seeking sponsors for the flags. If you are interested in sponsoring a flag the cost is $25 for an American Flag or $125 for one of the service flags. Please call Patrick Burns at (646) 436-5258 or mail in a sponsorship form, which is attached.
Each flag will have a name tag in honor of the person or business of your choice along with a ribbon. The flags will be on display until July 8. When they are taken down, the sponsors will receive the flag, name tag and ribbon as a thank you for your support.
