Governor Visits Finger Lakes Division

The Finger Lakes Division had collected baby shower items at its division meeting earlier in the week. They were on display at the dinner.

On April 9 Gov. Forbes Irvine made his official visit to the Finger Lakes Division. The event took place at the Pomodoro Restaurant in Pittsford. He talked about the governor's project for the year and encouraged clubs to send children to Kamp Kiwanis this summer. First Lady Helene Irvine talked about her First Lady's Project, asking clubs to conduct baby showers to collect items for local hospitals and agencies that families with newborn children. She said the project has taken off, not just in the New York District but other districts as well.
