Circle K Governor

Hello, Inspiring World Changers, I’m back with another update on New York Circle K.
So far my New York Circle K District Board has been working on how to be active during this pandemic. We had our District Officer Training Conference virtually, and we learned many tools to be better leaders. In this time of fear and uncertainty, we as leaders must step up and support our clubs and members. We have launched a monthly service-focused session where we discuss various innovative ways to do service. Moreover this month we will be making posts on our Facebook and Instagram pages about our Governor’s and District Project.
For my Governor’s Project, I have selected Life’s Necessities: Food and Water. As student leaders living in a first world country we have access to our basic needs but millions around the globe don’t even have access to safe clean drinking water or sufficient food.
I am an immigrant from Pakistan where I grew up seeing the horrors of what a community goes through with lack of sufficient human basic needs. Now that I am in a better environment I have made it my mission to do anything and everything to end the global water crisis and global famines.
Our District Project this year is Combating Covid. This project will focus on the immediate need of our local communities due to the pandemic. New York has been hit badly and it needs its service leaders more than ever. We plan to focus on how we can support food shelters, volunteer to tutor children, and community recovery will be our main focus.
In addition, we collaborated with Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center and raised $1,500 through an online concert! We are looking forward to doing more projects with Kiwanis Foundations and Kiwanis Clubs. Mid July Circle K Lieutenant Governors are planning their first divisionals, I hope you all could attend them.
