Hello New York District. What a troubled time in the world. And a troubling time in our Kiwanis world.
No meeting, no fundraising no signature projects. This is hard for our dedicated members because we all know we are givers. My own club had one of their biggest challenges ever in canceling our community wide Tulip Festival on the second weekend in May. Everything we do as Kiwanians is in jeopardy for this Kiwanis year.
But serving this District for three years has taught me a valuable lesson. When this crisis is over I know our communities will be taken care of. Our children will be well taken care of, and our veterans and seniors will be taken care of. Why, because we are Kiwanians and after a short episode to recharge our batteries we will be back with a vengeance.
