What an incredible time this has been for me. We had our Lt Governor training in mid-May. We had a great turnout, with almost every division represented. It was a great opportunity to get everyone together and put our minds to work. As usual we were in Utica, more or less central New York. Also very close to Kamp Kiwanis, which some people have not had the great pleasure of seeing. On the Saturday of the training, we traveled to the Kamp. Luckily on that day, we were fortunate to witness the burning of the mortgage by our Foundation President Sal Anelli. The mortgage was paid off by a deceased member. What a great time for our district. A special thank you to Rich Hall for his hard work in putting together a great weekend in Utica.
Recently we were at our International Convention in Orlando at Disney World. I had never been there, so it was an amazing experience for me. Being at I-Con, as governor-elect, it allowed me the opportunity to reconnect with my fellow governors-elect from around the world. Just being with these people, is so rewarding knowing we are all doing so much good all over the world. I look forward to working with our President Daniel Vigneron. To say I'm impressed with this man is an understatement. Not only does he speak seven languages, he has many great ideas for our future.
Very importantly, we were able to continue to support our own Peter Mancuso, in his quest to become International President. Of course, we knew Peter would win. How could he not. Congratulations to Peter and Karen on a great victory, not only for themselves, but for the Great New York District and the International Community.
I also look forward to seeing everyone in Niagara Falls for our District Convention in August! Please make every effort to attend!
The last thing I need to do, is thank Debbie. Thank you so much for being with me on this great journey. I know much of my success is thanks to YOU!
