Governors Project - Military Kampers

100 Plus Military Kampers, Our Goal is to send 100 Plus Military children to Kamp Kiwanis.
As of this article, we have 92. This leaves us 58 to go.
By now you should be asking yourself… How can it 58? Should it not be 8?
Both good questions to ask! Hopefully not just bad math on my part.
At the Mid-Year Conference, because of the overwhelming support of the Governor's Project, Gov. Hank raised the bar for us. Gov. Hank set a new goal of 150 for us. That's our new objective.
150 Plus Military Kampers. Hence the need for 58 more.
We would like to acknowledge some outstanding work by the following Kiwanians:
- Adirondack Lt. Gov. Kimberly Davis for her tenacious work securing a grant for the district from Kiwanis International Children's Fund. The grant is for the teen program to help 23, 15-17 year-olds to attend Kamp
- Past Lt. Gov. Sean O'Sullivan of the All Island Kiwanis Club, who is working with a private foundation to secure a donation that will send 12 or so Military Children to Kamp.
- Past Lt. Gov. Rebecca and Herman Ovadia, who managed the Mid-Year Conference Basket Raffle, which generated a profit that will send eight children to Kamp.
- And Finally, YOU, My Fellow Kiwanians. For your generosity and commitment to the Governor's Project.
With your continued support, we will reach 150 Plus Military Kampers.
At our next Mid-Year Conference we will acknowledge those whom have participated.
My question to you is this. Will you and your club be among them? Rest assured there is plenty of time to participate.
One of the things I believe to be true is that, we have put our faith in Gov. Hank to lead us this year. Let us show Gov. Hank our faith in his Governor's Project by reaching 150 Plus Military Kampers.
The other thing I believe to be true is that, The New York District knows how to take care of its own. So let's send 150 plus Military Children to Kamp. In doing so we will go From "Good to Great".
