The Formula

I welcome our NY Kiwanis Family to the FORMULA.
As the chair of the Formula, I want to share our Vision, Mission, and Goal for 2014-15 year.
Our governor has entrusted me to lead the district with DPG Joe Eppolito to strengthen our district in growth and club building.
Each lieutenant governor and president should have received the contact information on the Formula team. If not, contact Joe Eppolito.
We have chosen the goal of 1,100 new members and six new clubs. These goals can be reached because of the PASSION, DYNAMICS, DEDICATION, MOTIVATION, ENERGY, and HEART.
We have the talent to make our Kiwanis family #1. How are we going to do this? We built 5 clubs and inducted 1,056 new members 2013-14. Now, we need to focus, educate and retain. There is nothing we can’t do.
But, we need to start NOW. Not next week. TODAY.
I urge all the lieutenant governors to be creative and think out of the box. Work with your club presidents, set goals, recognize, provide incentives.
I know all of you have your best interest for the divisions. Just think, making your clubs stronger makes a better community. The Formula team is here for your use to assist you in every way.
As I did in the past, I’m willing to visit your divisional meeting to motivate, retain, and educate. You can’t do this alone -- get support from the team.
New club builders are in every division. The team will not start to build a club without your knowledge or your input. Once a club is built it will fall under the lieutenant governor.
The club builders are in place to support and canvas the locations in your community, and to assist clubs that are small or on a verge of closing. They will mentor clubs to keep stability.
Club Counselors are in every division to assist smaller clubs, clubs that may need assistance, and bring clubs to charter strength. They will mentor new clubs, educate, and retain membership.
The team will do this if invited by the president. The lieutenant governor must be notified. It’s up to the lieutenant governor to invite a counselor to step in.
The Membership Chair is Lt. Gov.-Elect Julie Watterson. She can be contacted at JULESW77@aol.com or 108 Fawn Lane East, South Setauket, NY 11720; phone: (631) 987-2442. Julie will be sending potential member inquiries from Kiwanis International to presidents and lieutenant governors. You need to follow up with those potential members and report back to Julie. A copy of your new member application should be sent to Julie for recognition.
Also, send any deletes with contact information. Club counselors can see why a member left or maybe to bring back a member.
The New Club Building Chair is DPG Joseph Eppolito. He will lead the New Club Building Team; building clubs is his specialty. Joe will send out updates, stats, new club locations. He will work closely with the lieutenant governors, New Club Building team, club counselors and the zone chairs.
The magic number is 6 for the year. PEPSTER@aol.com cell 315-652-5940
The Formula Chair is Immediate Past Gov. Joe Aiello, 516-622-6758 JOA9014@nyp.org. He will oversee the Formula, to assure we reach our goals, strengthen our district by 1,100 members, educate, motivate and retain.
To get all the team to focus and Believe. We will succeed and close the back door. We have the capabilities to be champions.
