So far December has been busy for Gov. Joe and First Lady Cookie.

On Dec. 5 I had the honor to have our International President Gunter Gasser and his First Lady Christiana to visit New York. Our president attended the Snow Flake Ball for UNICEF.

He and the First Lady visited the Glendale Club on the 5th. They attended a lunch meeting with Gov. Joe and Lt. Gov. Steve Sirgiovanni and other dignitaries. In the evening they enjoyed the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City and the tree in Rockefeller Center. It was a perfect visit.

Dec. 6: I attended the Eliminate Experience Hosted by Key Club, Circle K, and Bowling Green K-Kids. Rickie Santer and team did a terrific job putting this expo together. The expo included all the countries we are saving. I have learned so much that evening. Immediate Past International President Thomas DeJulio and former First Lady Dr. Rosemary DeJulio did an inspiring program.

Dec. 7: I made trip up north to the St. Lawrence Division. It was a unofficial visit. I attended Lt. Gov. Judy Condino's Divisional Meeting. I was treated like royalty. It was a full house with our extended family; the lieutenant governor from Circle K and a Key Club president and other sponsored youth attended. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus attended. I made a presentation to the Norwood Club for 75 years of service. We also had a visit from the Adirondack Lt. Gov. Robert Shumway. My biggest surprise was a table of Canadians from the Manatuck club from Canada. I listened to the clubs reporting on projects and events. I was amazed how much they do with our sponsored youth. Two new Builders club are built Ogdensburg and Potsdam.

The Watertown Lunch Club President Ronald Cole announced that one of his members, Ed Phleuber, sponsored 5 new members and another three. I enjoyed the whole time I spent with St. Lawrence Division. They were many awards presented to many of our extended Family.

Dec. 9: I will be visiting several schools, PS 20 the Anna Silver School and P.S. 239 to see what they are working on and recognize them for their Community service.

Dec. 10: Glendale Christmas Cheer for those Children and Families in need. There will be more than 40 families that will receive gifts from Santa, gift cards for the parents, and other surprises. The Queens College Circle K and Gov. Kelly Chan will entertain the children.

Dec. 11: Long Island Southwest Lt. Gov. Nancy Baxter will be hosting my first Governor Visit at the Coral House in Long Island. I'm looking forward for my first official Governor Visit.

Dec. 12: Installation of the Sunnyside Club.

Dec. 13: Visiting the Bowling Green K-Kids in Long Island to sing Christmas Carols and to present the club with the President award from Washington.

Dec. 14: Attending a shopping spree at Sears for needy children East North Port/Commack.

Dec. 18: Installation of the Middle Village Club.

Dec. 21: Ronald McDonald House, New York City.

Dec. 22: Kiwanis Westhampton Kamp Kiwanis fund raiser.
