The organization meeting for the new Kiwanis Club of Farmingdale in the Long Island South Central Division took place on Dec. 8 at Tre Scalini Restaurant in Farmingdale.
Distinguished Past New York District Governor Peter Mancuso lead the procedures to elect a board of directors and officers. Informational meetings on Oct. 13 and Nov. 16 were a huge success, with nearly 25 people signing up on the spot.
A Charter Night event is tentatively planned for Monday, April 2, 2012. The Kiwanis Club of Farmingdale will meet the first and third Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Tre Scalini Restaurant, 196 Main St., Farmingdale.
