East River Donates Dictionaries to Kampers

This summer, East River Kiwanis completed its first Dictionary Project.

The project provided Kamp Kiwanis with more than 650 student dictionaries that will be distributed throughout the summer to every child attending camp.

The club raised the funds to purchase the dictionaries during our bowling event on May 19. Once the funds were raised the books were ordered and labeled with stickers identifying the dictionaries as gifts from East River Kiwanis.

The project was done in partnership with The Dictionary Project, which aims to enrich students’ learning experiences and help them become better writers and creative thinkers.
