Patchogue Honors Kiwanian of Year
![]() Dr. Robert J. Borowski (left) was honored as Kiwanian of the Year 2008-09 from Patchogue Kiwanis Club. Kiwanis Club President, Christopher J. Picini. Dr. Borowski received the recognition by the club for Dr. Borowski's devotion to the Club and the students at Patchogue-Medford High School where he teaches science. He served as both club and faculty advisor for the Key Club and also advisor for the Venture Crew 1776 at the High School. In addition to this recognition, he was awarded Suffolk County Boy Scouts' top award for his work in Venturing. Dr. Borowski currently serves as on the Patchogue Kiwanis Club's Board of Directors. Dr. Borowski earned his Bachelors' of Engineering Degree at SUNY Maritime College, his Master of Science Degree at the University of Memphis, his Master of Education degree at Teachers College at Columbia University, his Master of Philosophy degree in Comparative Education at Columbia University and Doctorate of Philosophy also from Columbia University. He served in the US Navy and still has a title as Captain in the Reserves. |
