Each year at the District Mid-Winter Conference and at the District Convention, members of our District Past Lieutenant Governor's Council plans a service project to benefit the areas in which these events are held. This year, at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon, council members donated food items for those in need in Sullivan County which is an area identified as having the second highest poverty rate in the state. Also contributing were members of the Hudson River West Division clubs, host of this year's conference. The Salvation Army of Middletown's Outreach Officer Nicole Fullop, who is also an incoming Kiwanian, assisted by delivering the food collected to the needy residents of Sullivan County.
