The Kiwanis Club of Amityville continued with one of its nicest traditions - to brighten Valentine's Day for all those who reside in our local nursing home. Just a little bit. They visited Broadlawn Manor in Amityville on Feb. 14.
Club members bring individually wrapped flowers and sweet Valentine cards made by second and third graders who attend our public schools, and deliver them to each nursing home resident - everyone gets a flower, a card, and a few minutes of personal attention.
