Five Towns Awards $18,000 in Scholarships

The Kiwanis Club of the Five Towns proudly announces $18,000 in scholarships presented to three local high schools this year.

The Club awards scholarships for: community service, music, academics & financial need.

This year we increased our awards to include scholarships presented to students recommended by our Key Club Advisers and the HS Principals, in an attempt to increase participation by the school's administration.

Here is a list of our award winners:

Lawrence High School

Key Club Scholarship, Taylor Luck and Tamara Gonzalez; Principal's Award, Harris Feldman and Marcel Frederic; Dale Sarro Music Award, Serge Byakov; Elaine Essex Education Award, Jadzia Wray; Community Service  Award, Arthur Chen; Giacomo Campanile Award, Stefany Diaz; Joseph Mandelbaum Holocaust Awareness Award, Gabrielle Levey; Zimmy Nathanson Athletic Award, Nick Ramirez.

Hewlett High School

FTK Community Service Scholarship,  Ashley Ruta; FTK Shore Shore Foundation Scholarship, Evelyn Gitsin; FTK Giacomo Campanile Scholarship,  Gianni Preziosi

Lynbrook High School

Key Club Community Service Award, Michell Cantanno, Stephanie Milillo, Kaela Rothstein, Samantha Woll.
