West End, Marine Park, Dyker Heights Kiwanis Sponsors Baseball Night

club news

The West End, Marine Park, Dyker Heights Kiwanis club is sponsoring a baseball night on Thursday, July 14, at the Brooklyn Cyclones game. All Kiwanians are invited to attend, as proceeds will be divided among the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center and the Kiwanis Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation and Kamp Kiwanis.

Kiwanis will sell raffle tickets for both 50/50 and donated baskets. We would ask each Kiwanis division that participates provide one basket to be raffled, and to ask for volunteers to sell tickets and/or work the information booth for parts of the game.

There will be a pre-game ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m. where we will have one representative from each charity foundation briefly explain what their foundations do.

Joe DeMarco, West End, Marine Park, Dyker Height president, said the event will be used to announce Kiwanis' participation in  joint fundraising of the Brooklyn Pediatric Trauma Center at Maimonides Medical center spear headed by the Bensonhurt and Bay Ridge Kiwanis club, and the announcement of their first fundraiser.

Tickets cost $20. For each ticket sold Kiwanis will profit either $7 or $8 depending on the quantity of tickets sold. Hard copy tickets must be pre-purchased by individual clubs or divisions for resale. To purchase tickets please contact Joe DeMarco, at Joede1222@aol.com, or text/call 646-361-2623. If you cannot attend the game, please consider making a donation to purchase tickets for us to distribute to underprivileged children.

For the $20 donation for this event, you and your guests will be entitled to field level box seats, and a Brooklyn Cyclones Baseball cap. The first 2,500 attendees also will receive a Brooklyn Bridge Cyclones jersey.
