Nassau to Suffolk Bike Challenge is June 26

The annual Nassau to Suffolk Bicycle Challenge will take place on June 26 beginning at Tappen Beach in Sea Cliff. The event is organized by the North Shore Kiwanis Club to raise money for the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center (KPTC) as well as other charities the Kiwanis Club supports.

The event was spearheaded 21 years ago by Kiwanian Tom Destio and his family to give back to the KPTC for the life saving treatment his son received as an infant.

The ride is touted by many cyclist as the "best ride on Long Island" having three well-marked routes available and each ride provides beautiful scenery along the roads of Long Island's magnificent North Shore.

If you are a cyclist and interested in participating, visit our website at N2SBC.org where you can view the ride as well as pre-register for the event; T-shirts are available to all riders who register by May 31.

There are five rest stops along the way that are filled with great food and drinks to keep the bikers energized.  At the end of your trip you will arrive back at Tappen Beach where a hot food spread awaits you. There are also drawings for numerous raffle prizes that are donated by our many local supporters.
