The Kiwanis Club of Patchogue again this year is making Thanksgiving happier for scores of area families.
The club's Holiday Bag Project, led by President Mark Charvat and chaired by member Glen Charvat, distributed 130 turkeys and 100 grocery bags filled with dinner fixings.
Key Clubs from Patchogue-Medford and Bellport High Schools helped the assembly project at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Area churches were enlisted to distribute the items to needy recipients.
