On March 21 a record 95 volunteers from K-Kids, Key Clubs, Aktion and Finger Lakes Division Kiwanis Clubs joined together at our annual Miracle Mile of Donations to raise approximately $2,600 in cash contributions from shoppers at Eastview Mall.
Combined with donations from Kiwanis Clubs, the total monies received at the event was over $8,200. The amount will be applied to the division's goal of raising $75K to help fund a waiting/reception area on the seventh floor of the new Golisano Children's hospital in Rochester, which will be dedicated to the Finger Lakes Kiwanis.
This total represents more than dollars, it represents the commitment that the Finger Lakes Kiwanis have had for the Children's Hospital for 32 consecutive years; it represents the Finger Lakes Kiwanis spirit and generosity; it represents the strength of our network of affiliated clubs; it represents why the Finger Lakes Division is the premier division in the New York District.
