New Member Praised for Work in Afghanistan

Abdul worked as a field liason with Major Evans in Afghanistan, "and was responsible for saving my life numerous times", according to Evans, an Irondequoit Kiwanian. Qayoum has since relocated to the United States, sponsored by Evans, and is applying for U.S. citizenship. On Dec. 17, Abdul was installed as one of four new members of the Irondequoit Club.
