Katsoris, Ramos and Sylvia |
On the eve of her 12th birthday, Sylvia's dream to meet actress Nathalia Ramos came true.
"The House of Anubis" and "Bratz" movie star definitely brought a smile to Sylvia's face! Thanks to Sylvia's participation in her K-Kids service projects at her Bronx elementary school sponsored by Fordham Kiwanis, Sylvia won a "Dream Day" contest sponsored by Fordham Kiwanis member Nick Katsoris.
Dreaming to be an actress someday, Sylvia learned an important life lesson: when you help others, you also help yourself. She now plans to conduct a park clean-up project on Make a Difference Day sponsored by USA Weekend and was inspired by author Nick Katsoris and the LOUKOUMI book series about children's good deeds. The actress Nathalia also performed a good deed by taking time out from her busy schedule filming scenes for her new movie being shot on location in Henrietta and Rochester.
