Key Club, Builders Club Commended

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks has commended the Town Of Webb School Key Club and Builders Club for their outstanding performance during the 2013-14 school year.

This year the Key Club had 54 members whow contributed 1,760 community service hours. The Builders Club had 14 members who contributed 377 community service hours.

Key Club and Builders Club Advisor Diane Amos, a Kiwanis member and teacher at the school stated, "We have had a very successful year. Our students participate in many school activities, besides academics. They make the time to help others and they have grown in many ways, such as taking responsibilities seriously and caring for their community".

Central Adirondack Kiwanis Club President Mike Griffin commented, "You could not ask for a nicer group of young adults--it is has been our pleasure to work with the students as well as their outstanding school advisor, Diane Amos. They are a fabulous part of our community.

At its year-end meeting, Key Club members received the following awards:
Most Community Service hours in 9th Grade: Lauren Beckingham
Most Committed 9th and 10th Grade: Melissa Rockhill
Most Community Service Hours Juicy Award: Mara Gaffney
Super Senior Award: Will Johnson
Wore T-shirt to most events: Brendan Kelly
Most Encouraging: Rebecca Session
Most Creative: Olivia Phaneuf and Camry Liddle
Most hard working: Allie Evans
Most Community Service Hours: Melissa Murphy
Funniest Key Club person at events: Sydney Payne
Most Community Service Hours for 10th Grader: Madison Rice
Most Positive Attitude: Samantha Notley
T-Rex of Team Work: Brandon Palmer
