Kiwanis, Circle K, Key Clubs, Builders Clubs Join for Beach Clean Up

club news

On Kiwanis One Day on April 5, the Kiwanis Clubs of Glen Cove and North Shore joined forces to cleanup Pryibil Beach. As this beach clean-up has become a regular event for the Glen Cove club, this year other local clubs offered to assist.

At the close of sign-in there were more than 100 hands on the beach and surrounding shorelines on that beautiful sunny Saturday morning collecting debris. Assemblyman Chuck Lavine stopped down to lend his support, as did Long Island North Lt. Gov. Russ Burcheri, members of both Glen Cove and North Shore Kiwanis, Circle K at Long Island University, C.W. Post and Adelphi, Key Clubs from Glen Cove, North Shore, and North Shore Robotics; Builders Clubs from Glen Cove and North Shore; K-Kids from Glen Cover and North Shore, as well as the parents and advisors who stayed and made this day such a success.

The City of Glen Cove Beautification has always been supportive and appreciative of our efforts in bringing the community together in helping to prepare the beach and its surrounding area for the upcoming season.
