Basket Raffle

This year Rebecca and Herman Ovadia have once again agreed to manage our annual Basket Raffle at the Mid Year Conference at Hudson River Resort and Spa. These baskets are not limited to Divisions or clubs or individuals -- we welcome baskets from everyone that is so inclined to do so. There are five recipients again this year, according to Gov. Don. The three KPTC units, at Northshore Long Island, Albany and Buffalo plus the Golisano Children's Hospital Pediatric Trauma units in Rochester and Syracuse.

Please be sure to get your entries to Mid Year sometime on Friday February 22

Kamp Shower and Baby Contest

A shower to benefit Kamp Kiwanis will take place at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday. Information on the shower and the Kamp's 2008 Kamp Wish List are available.

Disaster Relief Cupboard

Over the short few recent years, we have seen natural disasters, everything from Katrina, to the flooding in the Southern Tier (around Binghamton) and between Albany and Syracuse. The New York District, headed by Mike Malark, is establishing a "Disaster Relief Cupboard".

A flyer explaining the program is available.

Please bring your non-perishable items to Mid Year to be included in this store house of goods to be used by victims of future disasters.

First Lady's Book Program

Books will be collected at the Mid-Year Conference as part of a program putting together packets to be given to area clinics and day care centers. The program is part of this year's First Lady's Program, organized by First Lady Marlene Herring.

A flyer explaining the program is available.
