Originally built in 1932, the dining hall underwent major renovations in 1997 and in 2002-03 was expanded to nearly double the size of the kitchen as well as provide wheelchair accessible rest rooms. In 2004-05 the front of the dining hall was covered with bricks to match Governor's Hall.
The kitchen was expanded to allow for a division between the food preparation and cleanup areas in 2002-03. This picture below shows the expanded kitchen in use during the 2003 Kamping season.

Above is a picture of the seating area in the dining hall.

On May 3, 2003, The dining hall was named in honor of Frank D'Orazi, the late Past Distinguished Lt. The picture at left shows members of the D'Orazi family, representatives of the Queens West Division and Foundation President Orlando Marrazzo (wearing a jacket and tie), pose during the dedication. D'Orazi's widow, Alice, is holding the plaque. In the middle is the plaque mounted inside the dining hall. At right is a photo of D'Orazi, who died Jan. 7, 2003. | ||
