Massapequa is Finalist in International Program

A New York club is one of 11 finalists in the Kiwanis International Signature Project Recognition Program.

Massapequa has been selected for its drug abuse awareness effort.

Signature projects show the impact a Kiwanis club can have on a community. From playgrounds and parks to festivals and fundraisers, signature projects are the hallmarks of what Kiwanis clubs are known for in their communities.

Each district was invited to submit one club-level signature project. The Kiwanis International Board Committee on Public Relations, Image and Marketing reviewed the submissions. Finalists and the ultimate top three winners will be announced and recognized during the Kiwanis International convention.

Gold, silver and bronze awards will be announced on Friday, July 14, at the International Convention in Paris. The full list of district submissions is available.
